Sanjay Suvarna jailed!

Last Sunday (July 9), Sanjay Suvarna called the Police by dialling the Emergency 100 number. Residents had assembled together outside his home and were cleaning up the area of the Dukh Bhanjan Darbar Trust that Sanjay Suvarna had encroached. The encroached area was being used by Sanjay Suvarna for storage purposes - an area of roughly 4 feet X 10 feet was encroached.

On Sunday morning, residents just broke down the erected wall to safeguard the encroached area and started removing the tiles and other stuff stored in there.

When Police arrived, residents refused to budge or go to the police station. One after another, 3 police vans arrived - finally, the Senior Police Inspector of Worli Police Station reached the spot.

The Senior PI had a quick look and departed in 10 minutes - but before he did so, he did one hell of a clinical job in decision-making. He ordered an FIR to be registered against Sanjay Suvarna.

The most important section that Sanjay Suvarna was book under was IPC section 341 - "restraining movement of others". Sanjay Suvarna had sealed off the back-door of the trust with brick-work, so much so that if the door was opened, one would encounter a wall! - right outside the door!

Sanjay Suvarna was finally arrested at 5 pm - he spent the night in custody. Next day morning he reached home at 6:30 pm after paying his bail. In the end, the man would have suffered a minimum expense of Rs 10,000/- and perhaps even Rs 20,000/-

Besides he earns himself the right to be present in front of the court every month.
