Results pouring with the rains

While our efforts have tempered a bit in the last 2 weeks, the results however haven't. Along with the Mumbai downpour the great Indian elephant of bureaucracy finally began turning around.

Last week, a Police Officer of Worli Police Station informed us that Sanjay Suvarna's 100 calls won't be catered to anymore. Worli Police Station will no longer send in vans to the area, instead a Beat Marshall will be sent. Based on the situation, the Beat Marshall will recommend further action.

While this is laudable and means some action on the ground, there is still more to be done. For example, how about imposing a fine everytime Sanjay Suvarna calls up 100 for frivolous reasons. The Police very well has powers to do so - until this is not done the beast will continue his beastly ways.

On our part, the Police can be assured that residents will not give up their campaign against the thug until some real hard action is taken.
